My Favorite Things

Soooooooo...

Hi!

I just had a pretty awesome day. I saw a bird fly into a glass window (second time this year). I hung out with my best friend, I was indoctrinated into being a french horn player in class (halfway), and I spent the majority of my music lessons today working on music theory instead of musicality. A few of my lesson assignments: Sing this etude I've had for a while but can't get a few intervals, listen to the entire 1 1/2 hour long New World Symphony without any distraction (which is my favorite symphony), and write out the circle of fifths scales and then change the scales to two types of minors (I forgot which ones). It was a pretty awesome day for lessons. Oh, and I made a video response to Dan Brown about god. It's already posted, but it hasn't been processed enough for me to be able to post it as a response yet.

So the being a french horn player in class halfway... Basically I could be switched completely, except the other player in my class just got braces, and he's already a lazy ass so she needs me on harder songs. The songs more focused on musicality I will be playing on horn, because they are easier. So in the end, I'm playing horn in class that isn't crazy difficult for someone in their first year of playing, and at the same time, avoiding playing tuba on the songs that bore me to death. WOO HOO!

A bit of randomness. Have you ever looked closely at the lyrics of panic at the disco's "Build God, then We'll talk"?

Focus on this part:
Raindrops on roses and the girls in white dresses
And sleeping with the roaches and taking best guesses
At the shade of the sheets and before all the stains
And a few more of your least favorite things.

And realize that it's a shout out to the sound of music's song "My Favorite Things":
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with string
These are a few of my favorite things

The little things are what make the world awesome =)

Much later I had a very nice conversation with a fellow zombie. Until he brought politics into it, and when I said I disagreed with him as a democrat he said "FUCK YOU!" and I disconnected.

Still

You Vs. Your Parents

I consider myself an alien in comparison to my parents. I mean, ignore the extremely Finnish face when there are no glasses, the glasses, the green eyes, and the Mormon nose. And perhaps take into account that I emulate my father in musical taste to an extent, and that I've known since almost day one that I wanted to be a teacher (my mommy has worked in the day care business for a very long time). And fine, I might give you that I politically lean the same way as my parents (left side). BUT WE ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.

My dad gets annoyed with little things about me like my fingernails. He hates that I wont clip them or file them, because I simply see no point. He says it's a bad reflection on him if I go out looking the way I do. May I please point you to the slutty girls at school, or the boys who all are showing off their boxers to the world. I am tame. Very tame. I reflect well on you by my personality. I think the only teacher I have that doesn't like me is my Chem teacher, and well really, I don't like her either so fair is fair.

My mother wants me to wear makeup, wear a bra instead of a cami, and basically become her vision of a girl. Which I find simply ridiculous. I don't really care about all these little things she wants. Clothes cost money, makeup costs money. Makeup takes away a load of time that I could use on the internet. And just throwing on jeans and a teeshirt means I don't have to worry about matching anything.

I really think I am different from my parents. Until I again notice the little things. We all are computer junkies. Steak must be on the rare side.

So I just left this for about an hour. Basically I still have no clue.

Not My Idea

A presentation of my inner mind

OH Yeah!
We're so beating mario!
DUCK!
I can't believe you guys just died. That was so easy.
Oh Shut up!
Yeah, shut up!
*sigh* whatever, have fun... I've got better things to do.
Do you think anyone ever wrote a fanfiction about Mario/Bowser
Dude, definitely did.
Hmm... *begins plotting fanfic*
SHIT!
Haha =)
Man, I thought you had better things to do!
My internet connection just went out.
Oh. Well, fine, but shut up!
.
.
.
You know, you could be working on those essays that are due when you get back.
I told you to shut up!
.
.
.
Well what about practicing your horn, I thought you were gonna do that?
SHUT UP!
I'm just saying. I mean you make a pretty nasty habit of procrastinating.
DUDE, SHUT THE **** UP!
You never do anything anymore. You're a lazy slob!
*SMACK*
Go to your room!
I'm the one in charge of the body here. You're too quiet to take charge and be anything other than annoying!
Well, you, you, YOU YELL A LOT!
YOU'RE YELLING RIGHT NOW!
GUYS GUYS GUYS!
WHAT???
I've so got the plot down for the story. Like Mario is gonna get all mad at Peach, and...
*sigh*
Damn it, lost again.

Yeah, sometimes things get kinda intense up there. I blame video games.

Goals:
  1. Courtney's secret project... I honestly should have it done by now, but I'm a lazy ass.
  2. Crossover fanfic. I started writing it. And I've got the whole plot out. Now I've just gotta get past that whole being a lazy ass thing.
  3. Got my wallet back. We got a call from the bank, and the movie theater I lost it at had it for two weeks. So this one is checked off!
  4. Practice horn. Just gotta if I wanna be able to play my part...
Hope the voices in your head aren't as crazy as mine!

Not Alone

Now I still have trouble
I trip and stumble
trying to make sense of things some times
I look for reasons
but I don't need em
all I need is to look in your eyes
and I realize
-A Very Potter Musical: Not Alone

I have fallen in crazy love with this song from AVPM. Add in the fact that it's Act two, Part five, which includes the most hilarious make out scene I've ever seen, and you've got an addiction stronger than the power of love. And the power of love killed Voldemort... Twice!

I find myself addicted to a lot of things as of late. AVPM, my french horn (which is good, I'm supposed to practice that, so it's good that I'm actually working on it), NEOPETS (particularly the daily dare), formspring, and coloring. I'm planning on making a poster tomorrow to put up on the door outside my room that reads THIS ROOM IS NOT A HORCRUX, SO WALK AWAY SLOWLY BEFORE LORD VOLDEMORT KICKS YOUR ASS (I'll post a pic when I make it). I might have to think of another place to put the sign though, because I don't think my parents would particularly appreciate that poster.

I spent most of today cleaning my room, which completely sucked, but I can quite honestly (and sadly) say that this is the first time I've been able to see my floor since my grandma stayed in my room over winter break. And now I have all of spring break to mess it up again.

Goals:
1) Scrapping the DDR idea
2) Still working on Courtney's secret project. She's already left, but I'm going to mail it to her. It's gonna be uber special.
3) Crossover Eric Foreman fanfic, I'm planning on doing over break
4) Get a wallet... I still need to talk to my mom.

Over break I also plan on making a butt-load of APUSH flashcards, finishing more of the books I got for my birthday, finishing Super Mario Bros Wii (I beat world one, and found the warp pipe in that one to world five. Right now I'm in world six, but I want to go back and beat worlds 2-4), and going to the beach sometime. Oh then there's CYO lock in and the anti prom my friends planned at the bowling alley.

Yup, I'm excited for spring break. I only wish it hadn't been cut to a week.

Hope that you have an awesome rest of your weekend!

Plastic surgery is a must for comedic purposes

I am stressed. And I feel like being an emo kid and just say "no one will ever be as stressed as I am right now" but I know that's a lie, so I'm just going to say I'm stressed and leave it at that. Actually, I'll give a good basis for stress focus. My upper back hurts like hell.

In other news...

There's this inside joke my friends and I have about AP cookies, so we finally made them. Except then I just had to make harry potter:

As you can see, harry potter got plastic surgery that failed epically.

But what was really funny about the cookie was when Courtney and I were walking back from Kat's with the cookie, and I was trying to protect it to show my other friend Ashley. It of course started raining very soon after Court and I left Kat's house. So being me and awesome, I realized the solution was to protect the cookie in my jacket. I hilariously walked across the street with my body facing away from the rain and towards all the cars. Then, once we were finally under cover from the rain, I pull the cookie out from under my jacket and Harry has a slight mustache from some fibers of my jacket. And of course, that wasn't even half of what happened, but I realize this is already a really long paragraph, and I missed a lot of the stuff I meant to say about it already xD

My week is as follows:

Wednesday: I'm going to go to see the marine's silent drill team at 6:30, and if the world loves me (which it doesn't), I'm going to go see Alice in Wonderland with Kat and Courtney.
Thursday: Going to the mall with Courtney, Lauren, Kat(?), Ashley, Corey, and Will after school. I'm really hoping this breaks out into a game of hide and go seek like the trip to the mall did at the end of last year's finals.
Friday: Courtney's last day =( Me, Ashley, Lauren, and Courtney are going bowling. And then we'll probably just end up doing other stupid stuff since bowling is expensive. I'm going to miss her =(

Then after that is spring break. Which will most likely be lousy.

Goals:

1) Find a Cheap PS2
  • Definitely haven't done anything towards this yet. One day is not enough time to start something like this haha.
2) Finish my secret project
  • The secret project is coming along quite secretly. I started getting what I needed today, and I'll get the bulk of what I need tomorrow, and then Thursday night I'm going to hack out everything so I can give it to Courtney on Friday.
3) Write crossover fanfiction about Eric Foreman, who went through a shit load of plastic surgery (it appears this is a common trend with fictional characters lately isn't it?)
  • If I have time I'll be doing this Thursday night as well so I can print it out to give Courtney something to do on the plane.
4) Get a wallet.
  • I have no idea when I'm going to be doing this. I'm going to talk to my mom about using some of the rest of my birthday book money on a wallet.
Well I must go. I checked, and I have a 77% in my English class, and there's no more work we're going to get, but I can bring it up to a B if I turn in one of the essays I didn't do.

Hope you had a nice day!

Where'd She Go?

So I started a blog. It was going to motivate me to stop being a lazy ass and do my homework, clean my room, and keep my promises.

Yeah like that was going to happen.

Being the lazy person that I am, I got lazy about going to a website to physically log in, and then type up my goals. Which really defeats the purpose of this blog. This leads to my decision to reform the blog. It's still going to be about my goals, but this time, they will be fun goals! Because I just do not do good with goals to do my homework and other stuff. Actually, I don't do good with my goals of those types that I might end up getting a D in U.S. this time round. And I'm in AP! *le sigh*

So I come bearing some new goals, which I think are goals that I am way more likely to achieve.

1) Find a cheap PS2, set it up with my tv in the garage, and then play DDR until I pass out from heat exhaustion. You see, we used to have a PS2, and almost every day you could find me playing DDR. In fact, I played DDR so much that I not only was good at it, but I broke so many mats my parents just decided to get me a metal one. We still have that metal mat, and it has an XBOX and a PS2 output. And neither works with our Wii, PS3, or XBOX 360.

2) Finish my secret project. I'd tell you more, but it's going to remain a secret until Friday when I give it to Courtney. She knows of its existence, and probably has a pretty good idea of what it is, but I'd like it to be as secretive as possible, as it is her going away present.

3) Write my crossover fanfiction for House and That 70s show about Eric Foreman. Tonight just made this goal pretty awesome too, because Donna (ok, the actress who played her if you're gonna be specific) was on house last night. I mean, Eric wasn't, but that doesn't mean I'm not gonna involve it in the fanfic.

4) The final one for tonight: Get a wallet. I lost mine about three weeks ago at the movies. I still have yet to get a new ID, and I only just got a replacement Visa card. Oh, and then I have no idea if they will take my school ID with my visa card since I don't have a military one. Augh!

Alrighty. I gotta go, because I have to finish some History homework... and it's 9:40 the night before it's due. Yeah, like I said, I'm LAZY! (and that just made me want to write out LAZY BOY FURNITURE, because I am just awesome like that).

Goodnight!
